For eight years, Radiant Health's seated saunas have been bestsellers in Norway and the Nordics. Now a new, exclusive and more sustainable edition is being launched: IR SaunaPod Stone and IR SaunaPod Stone Maxi, with an exclusive cover made from moso bamboo.
"The cover is dark grey and made from 'mao zhu', a temperate species of giant timber bamboo. The fabric has a beautiful linen-look texture," says founder Siw Hansson Kaulbach enthusiastically. She lets out a contented sigh and strokes her hand over the latest addition to the brand's sauna universe. "It is just so lovely!"
Siw, who is also the product developer, has been looking forward to showing off the BAMBOO series, which comes in two sizes: IR SaunaPod and IR SaunaPod Maxi. The latter is for people who are 183 cm or taller. She has been working on the new infrared seated saunas in secret for a long time.
"I had a version of the sauna made a few years ago, but put it on ice until I picked it up again this winter. There have been several rounds of colour and material choices. Now I am incredibly happy with the final result. IR SaunaPod Stone is built to the same quality principles as the bestsellers, but covered with a new bamboo cover in a classic dark grey. In addition to bamboo, some cotton is also used for extra durability. I think IR SaunaPod Stone will steal the popularity of the standard editions and become our new bestseller. It is incredibly exciting," says Siw.

The founder is constantly working to improve and renew the brand, in order to offer the best infrared heat products on the market. The products are of high quality and adapted to customers' different needs.
"Since the start in 2013, I have invested a great deal in our own product design and in continually improving the electronics, so that the temperature stays high and stable. With the new bamboo saunas, Radiant Health™ takes quality to a new level, with very good insulation and durability, combined with a lovely contemporary design.
Moso bamboo has a number of positive properties
"Good moisture absorption and breathability. The cross-section of the fabric is full of pores that can absorb and evaporate water immediately, which is beneficial at high temperatures and when sweating a lot. The fabric is antibacterial. In addition, bamboo is the fastest-growing woody plant on earth, which helps make it an eco-friendly and sustainable plant. Cotton is also used in the model to make it even more hard-wearing."
Since its start, Radiant Health has launched several infrared heat products. Three of them are launching this year, including the infrared Sauna Blanket, which in 2021 was named one of the top ten health trends in the world by The Times.
