Radiant Health's glass water bottle makes a comeback! Now with a wider neck, natural bamboo lid, and new packaging – for optimal drinking pleasure, durability, and aesthetics.
– I'm so happy! The water bottle can easily be taken on daily activities and, of course, it's perfect to have when you're in the sauna. The bottle is comfortable to drink from. It feels like drinking from a large glass, smiles founder and product developer, Siw Hansson Kaulbach, who is re-launching one of the brand's favorites.
The glass bottle is handmade, from borosilicate glass, an extremely strong type of glass that is resistant to thermal shock. This means that the water bottle can withstand rapid temperature changes without breaking or cracking. It stays just as good, year after year.
Unlike plastic and stainless steel, borosilicate glass does not absorb odors or tastes, and thus will not affect the drinking quality. Nor are there any dangerous chemicals that migrate from the glass into the liquid.
– Radiant Health Water Bottle can withstand temperatures from minus 20 to plus 150 degrees Celsius. It is an "all-around" bottle for cold and hot drinks. For example, if you want to make tea, you can make it directly in the bottle, and it can be safely cleaned in the dishwasher. I recommend hand washing the bamboo lid, explains Siw.
It has been eight years since she launched the original water bottle, which is a natural addition to Radiant Health's sauna universe. The founder's wish for the bottle, as with all the brand's products, is to make it easy for people to take care of their own health.
All life depends on water
Getting enough fluids is important, especially when you are in the sauna, but also in everyday life in general.
According to EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), the recommended fluid intake for women is 2 liters per day. For men, the recommended intake is 2.5 liters daily. This naturally depends on several factors, such as weight, gender, age, metabolism, activity level, and climate, but it is essential to replenish fluids every day to maintain a well-functioning body – which on average consists of 50 to 70 percent water.
Water forms the basis of blood, digestive juices, and sweat. Water regulates body temperature through sweating, it lubricates joints, and aids digestion. In addition, water transports nutrients and oxygen to the cells, among other things. All life depends on water.
With the glass bottle, you also save the environment and yourself from plastic pollution.
240,000 plastic particles in single-use bottles
In a study published in January 2024, also reported by CNN, researchers discovered that 1 liter of water in single-use plastic bottles on average contained a staggering 240,000 plastic particles from seven types of plastic, 90 percent of which were identified as nanoplastics – the rest were microplastics.
Is that really something to consider?
– Save time and money, think about the environment and your health, smiles Siw.
